Reopening Options

On Tuesday and Wednesday buildings will be making calls to families.  Please be prepared to select one of the reopening options from Option 1 or Option 2 as outlined below.  Additionally, buildings will be surveying about meals and transportation for your student.

SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

COLVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

There will be a special meeting of the Board of Directors of Colville School District on Friday, October 2, 2020, 12:00 PM via a remote meeting.  The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • Consider the District’s Reopening Plan
  • Update on Board of Director District #1 Process and Timeline

There will be an opportunity for public comment.  To make a public comment, please submit a request located on the Colville School District website prior to the 12:00 PM meeting.  Public comment requests are asked to use the phone number they submit in order to be unmuted.  All calls will be initially muted.  Those who have submitted a request will be asked to identify themselves by name and address when they are unmuted.  Questions may be directed to Heather Clark at (509) 684-7850.

COLVILLE SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

DISTRICT #1 VACANCY

Colville School District Board of Directors has accepted a letter of resignation from Board President Sid Green, who represents Director District #1.  The Colville School Board has declared the position vacant and will appoint a replacement to the board.  Interviews for applicants will be conducted Tuesday, October 27, 2020, beginning at 5:00 PM.

Any person interested in being appointed to the school board vacancy should submit a letter of interest and application to Pete Lewis, Superintendent, as soon as possible.  DEADLINE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS IS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2020 at 3:00 PM.  An application can be picked up and returned at the Colville School District Office, 217 S. Hofstetter, Colville, WA. 

The appointee shall meet the requirements provided by law and shall be appointed until the next regularly scheduled board election.  Any applicant is required to be: 1) a citizen of the United States and the state of Washington; 2) a registered voter and resident of the school district; and 3) currently residing within the specific director district area.
